A group of young farmers formed D.V. Boer Farm International and invites Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to invest in farming in the Philippines.

Dexter Villamin, president of the 3-year-old private farming company, said that “farming could be the game changer in the Philippines.”

Villamin also added, “We will achieve success and sustainability by diligent farming and correct business planning.”

D.V. Boer Farm Intl. is asking OFWs to invest with them in goat, swine and cattle raising “pa-iwi” programs and corn planting.

The group owns 11 hectares of land in Lian, Batangas devoted mainly to goat and cattle breeding.

According to the group’s website, “Philippine native goats are mated with imported Boer breeds so it basically upgrades regular goats into a super goat — with more meat and more milk. They have what they call the ‘pa-iwi’ package.”
