I have two important subjects to write about this week and next week, namely, the Nov. 5-11, 2010 issue of the Filipino Reporter captioned: “UN unit rips R.P. gov’t as violator of rape code” and the Pope’s new book entitled: “Light of the World: The Pope, the Church and the Sign of the Times” regarding the use of condoms by prostitutes as a first step toward moralization.

MY answer to the following editor’s note in my column of Nov. 12-18, 2010 is set forth below:

Editor’s note: Why is it that a Filipino citizen, Mark Jimenez, was extradited to the U.S., tried and convicted in Florida for contributing to the presidential campaign of Bill Clinton? Jimenez served jail time in Florida.

ON the front page of the Filipino Reporter’s Nov. 5-11, 2010 issue appeared a news item captioned “Pacquiao stumps for Reid.

THE editorial of the Filipino Reporter's Oct. 29-Nov. 4, 2010 issue on plagiarism states that "for selfish reasons, the Supreme Court of the Philippines deviated from this norm when it cleared one of its members who was accused of plagiarizing four authors without attribution in a decision he wrote dismissing a petition of 70 Filipina comfort women during World War II."
