Special mass to honor God the Father of All
AUG. 3—God the Father of all Mankind will be honored with special mass every first Sunday of August at 12:15 p.m. at St. Patrick Church located at 39-38 29th St. & 40th Ave., Long Island City, NY 11101. In preparation, there will be reflections by invited speakers for eight holy octave days of prayers of Consecration. It will start on July 27 after the 9 a.m. mass, and everyday at 6 p.m. from July 28 to Aug. 2 at the chapel. After the mass on Aug. 3, more celebrations will follow with special presentations of friends and parishioners. There will be food, games, dancing and raffles. Undocumented Asians to tell their stories in a performance
AUG. 13—RAISE, the only pan-Asian undocumented youth group on the East Coast, returns to the stage at Culture Project in New York City with a new theater production entitled “Letters from UndocuAsians.” It will be staged from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cultural Project at 49 Bleecker Street in Manhattan. Written, directed and performed by members of RAISE (Revolutionizing Asian American Immigrant Stories on the East Coast), all of whom are undocumented Asian youth.
