(HTFI) is gearing up for another fundraiser, the “Lakad Tulong Lves 2 Help” at Liberty State Park, CRRNJ Terminal (South Field), 1 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305. N.Y. screening of ‘Matud Nila’ DVD in Long Island City

OCT. 17—A premiere screening of a new DVD production about the Philippines, “Matud Nila” (According to Them), will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City, N.Y. The DVD is a series of 24 stories about a small rural town in the Philippines. Each story is told with animated artwork, spoken dialog, sound effects and music. Parental guidance is suggested. Admission is free; voluntary donations is accepted to be sent to charities in the Philippines. This project is made possible in part by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
