The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 kilometers north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. The National Park is located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range on the northern coast of the island. It is bordered by St. Paul Bay to the north and the Babuyan River to the east. The City Government of Puerto Princesa has managed the National Park since 1992.

 

The Philippines may be lacking in man-made monuments as majestic as the Taj Mahal in India, but where we fall short on architectural wonders, we more than compensate with our natural attractions.

A newly-opened pop-up restaurant called Maharlika (Filipino word for nobility) that serves Filipino brunch has been making waves at Manhattan’s East Village section since it opened mid-January, with mainstream critics and foodies all heaping praises on entrees like arroz caldo (rice porridge, $11) and longsilog (longganisa, sinangag and itlog, $11) or tocilog (tocino, sinangag and itlog).
