A Free Event!

The Filipino American Festival, Inc. known as FAFI once again for the fourth year will showcase Emmanuel Guinto’s Fashion Show featuring his collections, Balut Eating Contest, Beulah Doggie Fashion Show and line-up of excellent entertainments featuring The Band of Brothers and our talented local artists and entertainers.

FAFI’s Major Sponsor, TFC-The Filipino Channel Worldwide sponsored two big star artists from the Philippines.

Their special guest is an actor and his movie “How to be Yours” is playing here in the U.S. theaters.

Gerald Anderson known as “Action Drama Prince” is a Filipino-American film and television actor and brand as Ambassador and TV Producer.

FAFI’s other special guest is no other than a Filipino singer who rose to fame after winning the first season of The X Factor Philippines in 2012.

Popularly known as KZ Tandingan, KZ will perform for FAFI on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at the Overpeck Bergen County Park (199 Challenger Rd., Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Filipino Festival will not be possible without the financial support of their Major Sponsor: TFC-The Filipino Channel, Corporate Sponsor: Wells Fargo and Sponsors: Bodyworks Bergenfield Rehab, 1st 2nd Mortgage Company, Washington Dental Associates and Western Union. For their Donors, FAFI appreciates the financial support of PSE&G and Fiesta in America and Bergen County Administration for the goods and services support.

To all their media partners, Mrs. Linda Pelayo, the Publisher of the Filipino Reporter and her never ending support to FAFI from the start is unbelievable for they had covered FAFI’s event from the very beginning.

Also their radio support, Don Lino Celle of WRMN USA Radio Pinoy and to their new partner The Manila Express.

To their social media team headed by JC Capistrano and Rowena Aquino, Chair for the Cultural Show, this team of people are bombarding the social media with advertisements and posts.

“I just want to commend the hard work of all the members of the Committee for all their hard work and dedication to give our community an event that everybody will enjoy,” said Ludi Hughes, President of FAFI.

“We are fortunate to have all the support of the small businesses and big corporations to make this happen. More and more are supporting us.”

What is new for FAFI is the “HAWAK KAMAY” Walkathon, a charity fundraising event.

This is organized as a project of FAFI in partnership with ABS-CBN Foundation’s Bantay Bata, Philippine Nurses Association Bergen Chapter and other partners for the purpose of advancing and strengthening our community through health initiative and awareness program by capturing our community’s statistical data on our issues regarding substance abuse, mental health, diabetes, cholesterol and hypertension common to our community.

“Hawak Kamay” will be Chaired by Hector Magno, Co-Chairs by Marites Welch-President of Philippine Nurses Association Bergen, Karen Alelis and Amira Allah.
