The Annual Red and White Ball was held on Feb. 12, 2013 at NBC Global Tent, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig by the San Beda Alumni Association, sponsorship by Smart Communications of Manny V. Pangilinan.

The food was catered by Mandarin Oriental; event decor and trophy was designed by international stylist and Bedan Rachy Cuna.

The annual event honors outstanding Bedans in the Philippines and abroad.

Real estate broker Edwin Josue was honored as outstanding Bedan overseas.

Two other New Yorkers were also honored: Consul General Mario L. de Leon, Jr. (government service); and Jorge Ortoll (arts and culture).

Other than Edwin, his batchmates in high school class ’73, there were two honorees: retired Brig. Gen. Fermin de Leon and Mr. Odilon “Ody” Santos of Los Angeles, Calif.

Among Edwin’s special guests were Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario, Architect Willy and Marion Coscolluela, Glecy Mojares, Mike Bautista, Josie Ang, his family, teachers, classmates and friends.

Isah Red rooted for Edwin as well.

Another awardee was Angelito Toledo “Hajji” Alejandro (entertainment).

He performed and sang with his daughter Rachel Alejandro during the show.

The Distinguished Woman’s Award was given to Charo Santos.
